Heavyweight stars Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou faced off in a press conference for their upcoming boxing match on March 8.
Well, well, well. Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou finally got a real good look at each other. It’s about time, right?
They had a face-off, you know. It happened after a press conference in London. And guess what? It was for their upcoming boxing match on March 8.
Oh, you want to see the staredown? Check it out below.
Now, this is interesting. This is the first time Joshua and Ngannou have been face to face since the match announcement. Happened earlier this month. They had a serious staredown, sure. But besides that, they were pretty cordial. Former champs and all.
Let’s talk about Joshua. He’s got a record of 27-3, 24 KOs. He’s looking for another big win after his five-round beatdown of Otto Wallin last December. The guy’s on a roll, won three straight fights. Bounced back from two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, which cost him his WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles. Tough break, huh?
And then there’s Ngannou. This is only his second boxing bout. He’s 17-3 in MMA, used to be a UFC heavyweight champion. He left UFC in January 2023, signed up with PFL, and got the option to pursue boxing. And he did, made his boxing debut against Tyson Fury last October.
You should’ve seen Ngannou against Fury. He was amazing, knocked Fury down in Round 3. Came close to winning, but lost by split decision. So close!
The Joshua vs. Ngannou match? It’s happening on March 8. The location? Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mark your calendars, folks.
