UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan humorously highlighted a training mishap where his coach fell through an open door, while also navigating a challenging start to 2025 after a back injury delayed his title shot and left him awaiting his next fight.
UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan might need a chat with whoever’s supposed to keep the cage door shut during training. Seriously, it’s a bit of a safety hazard.
On Tuesday, Tsarukyan shared a video of himself hitting pads with a coach. Things took a wild turn when a spinning back kick sent the coach flying through an open door. Oops!
Tsarukyan’s reaction? Classic. He threw his hands up and dashed over to check if the coach was okay. Talk about a dramatic training session.
“Can somebody please keep the cage closed?” Tsarukyan joked on Instagram. A bit of humor amidst the chaos.
It’s been a rough start to 2025 for Tsarukyan’s fighting career. Initially set to face then-champion Islam Makhachev in January, a last-minute back injury sidelined him. Bummer.
Dana White, the UFC CEO, decided Tsarukyan needs to win another fight before getting another title shot. It’s a tough break but part of the game.
Recently, Tsarukyan was the backup for UFC 317’s main event. Ilia Topuria knocked out Charles Oliveira, snagging the lightweight title after Makhachev moved up to welterweight.
Now, Tsarukyan’s waiting for news on his next fight. Still no word since that unfortunate injury in January. Fingers crossed for some good news soon!
