Belal Muhammad Dismisses Usman Threat, Calls Covington a Moron

Belal Muhammad is unfazed by former champions Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington‘s attempts to provoke him during UFC 315 fight week, dismissing Usman’s threats and mocking Covington’s antics while focusing on his upcoming title defense.

Belal Muhammad isn’t too worried about former champions trying to grab his attention during UFC 315 fight week. While prepping for a title defense against Jack Della Maddalena, Muhammad addressed Kamaru Usman’s comments. Usman suggested the UFC might need security if they met backstage. Their rivalry has been brewing for a while. Usman, with a fight scheduled in June, hinted that tensions might escalate if they crossed paths.

But Muhammad? Not too concerned. “Who? The former champion on a three-fight losing streak?” he quipped about Usman. “Afraid of a guy with no knees and a big head? Nah, I’ll be fine.”

Muhammad also mentioned a podcast episode with Usman and Henry Cejudo that never aired. Apparently, it got heated. Muhammad claimed Usman got emotional, which might be why it wasn’t released. “If you’re a grown man and you start crying on a podcast, why put it out there?” he wondered. “Unless there’s a really good editor.”

Then there’s Colby Covington, who tried to provoke Muhammad at the UFC Performance Institute. In a social media video, Covington laughed about hiding Muhammad’s food, calling him a “f*cking bum.” Covington, on a two-fight losing streak, was proud of his antics. But Muhammad quickly pointed out, “He hid my food? I’m not even in Vegas.”

He added, “These guys are like YouTubers now. Kamaru’s a podcaster, Colby’s a YouTuber. They should do a podcast together — the biggest losers.” Muhammad’s not losing sleep over it.
