Bo Nickal, a UFC middleweight and accomplished wrestler, has signed with Real American Freestyle wrestling, led by Hulk Hogan, while continuing his MMA career.
Bo Nickal is diving into dual roles in combat sports. Yep, he’s taking on more than just MMA!
According to MMA Fighting, Nickal’s now signed with the Real American Freestyle wrestling organization. Exciting, right? He plans to juggle this alongside his MMA career.
This wrestling venture is led by none other than Hulk Hogan. Yep, you read that right. Also involved are Eric Bischoff and wrestling coach Izzy Martinez.
Hogan’s thrilled, saying, “Bo Nickal is a tremendous athlete and one of the most accomplished wrestlers on the planet.” High praise! He believes Nickal elevates the RAF roster with his skills and experience.
Nickal’s no stranger to accolades. He’s a three-time NCAA Division I National Champion from Penn State.
Since switching to MMA, he made waves with a 31-second knockout in his pro debut. Then, he impressed on Dana White’s Contender Series, earning a UFC contract.
He racked up wins in his first four UFC fights. But, in May, he faced a setback. Reinier de Ridder handed him his first loss at UFC Des Moines. Ouch!
But hey, that’s the fight game. Nickal’s journey is just getting started.
