Paulo Costa withdrew from a UFC 326 fight with Bruno Ferreira to face Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 327, leading Ferreira to fight Gregory Rodriguez instead, while UFC 326 will feature Charles Oliveira vs. Max Holloway for the BMF title.
Paulo Costa pulled out from his UFC 326 fight against Bruno Ferreira on March 7. Instead, he’s moving up to light heavyweight to face Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 327 on April 11. Now, “Hulk” Ferreira is set to fight Gregory Rodriguez on the Las Vegas card.
Following a report by Laerte Viana, the UFC confirmed the matchup. UFC 326 will feature Charles Oliveira vs. Max Holloway for the BMF title at T-Mobile Arena. Exciting stuff, right?
Rodrigues, with an 18-6 record, was on a roll with two UFC wins in January 2023. Then Ferreira, stepping in for Brad Tavares, delivered a shocking first-round knockout in Rio de Janeiro. Talk about an upset!
Since then, Ferreira’s been on fire, going 5-2 and riding a three-fight winning streak. His latest victory? A decision win over Marvin Vettori. Before that, he submitted Armen Petrosyan and Jackson McVey with slick armbars.
Rodrigues didn’t back down either, winning five of six bouts since his loss. He recently defeated Roman Kopylov and Jack Hermansson, bouncing back strong after a main event setback against Jared Cannonier.
