Chase DeMoor defended his heavyweight title, but it wasn’t easy. On Friday, he faced Tanner Tolman at Misfits Boxing 21 in Derby, England. Though DeMoor snagged another knockout, it wasn’t without a struggle.
DeMoor entered as a massive favorite, but Tolman, making his Misfits debut, had other plans. Early in the second round, Tolman floored DeMoor with a right hand. First time in DeMoor’s career he hit the canvas!
DeMoor managed to beat the count. He spent a couple of minutes recovering while Tolman pressed on. But Tolman’s aggression backfired, and DeMoor dropped him near the round’s end.
Tolman survived the count and the round, but the momentum had shifted. He came out swinging in the third, but it didn’t go well. DeMoor unleashed a flurry of right hands, ending the fight with authority just over a minute in.
