Chase DeMoor Reacts to Darren Till, Targets Francis Ngannou Fight

Chase DeMoor is open to fighting Darren Till but believes it would be a poor decision for Till and Misfits Boxing, as DeMoor seeks more challenging opponents like Tommy Fury or Francis Ngannou to test his limits and elevate his boxing career.

Chase DeMoor is open to fighting Darren Till, but he thinks it might not be wise for Till or Misfits Boxing. After DeMoor’s win over Andrew Tate at Misfits Mania, Till criticized the fight, claiming it was a waste of time. DeMoor had a response.

“I like Darren Till; he’s a nice guy,” DeMoor told MMA Fighting. “But he talks a lot. During my fight with Andrew, I noticed him ringside, and we exchanged a few smiles. The funny thing is, Darren wanted that fight with Andrew Tate.”

Mams, a promoter, mentioned needing two pay-per-view stars, which led to some back-and-forth. DeMoor noted, “I watched Darren go six rounds with Anthony Taylor, who I beat quickly. If Till wants to fight, he can, but it’ll end like the Andrew fight, with people criticizing him.”

DeMoor respects Till but advises against the fight. “Mams offered it to me for next year, but I told him, ‘If you want stars, stop sending them to me.’ It’s not MMA; it’s boxing, and I have a 90-inch reach. It’s not in Darren’s favor.”

DeMoor’s been on a winning streak, going 10-0-1 since January 2024, capturing and defending the Misfits heavyweight title, including a win over Tate. As a rising star, he understands why Misfits would consider a matchup with Till.

However, for “Mr. Belt to Ass,” other names excite him more. “There are better options. If it makes money, it makes sense, but I’m focused on my own career. Misfits needs more superstars,” he explained.

Tommy Fury is a name DeMoor finds intriguing. “That’s the direction I want to go, moving to the pro division and fighting real boxers. I’ve spent most of the year fighting internationally.”

He mentioned fighters like Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul, expressing interest in a challenge. “Francis Ngannou would be fun. I’ve had back-and-forth with Nate Diaz, too. Plenty of opportunities beyond Darren Till.”

Some might question DeMoor mentioning Ngannou, given Ngannou’s status as a former UFC heavyweight champ. But DeMoor is drawn to the challenge. “I watched him fight Tyson and AJ. We’re the same size, and I like my odds.”

DeMoor seeks a true test. “I want to push my limits. Terrence Crawford talks about reaching full potential. I want that, or to find my limit. That’s why Ngannou excites me. If Jake can fight AJ, I can face Francis.”
