Conor McGregor criticized Khabib Nurmagomedov for allegedly using his late father’s name and Dagestan’s culture to sell NFTs, prompting a heated exchange between the two former UFC rivals.
Conor McGregor’s at it again, taking shots at his old rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Recently, Khabib launched an NFT called Papakhas on Telegram. The digital currency sold out fast, sparking a reaction from McGregor.
McGregor, never one to hold back, tweeted about it. He questioned if the “good guy” Khabib would really use his father’s name and Dagestan’s culture to sell NFTs, only to delete the content afterward.
Khabib fired back, accusing McGregor of trying to tarnish his reputation. He defended the NFTs as valuable digital gifts representing Dagestan’s traditions.
He insisted these gifts, shaped like Papakha hats, are exclusive to Telegram. Khabib emphasized their cultural significance, whether McGregor liked it or not.
Of course, McGregor couldn’t resist a comeback. He demanded an apology for using Khabib’s late father’s name in the sales.
McGregor mocked the idea of calling sold items “gifts,” throwing in some choice insults. He accused Khabib of scamming in his father’s name.
Their feud dates back to UFC 229 in October 2018. That night, Khabib dominated McGregor, submitting him in the fourth round.
