Dana White Discusses Dvalishvili vs O’Malley Rematch

UFC CEO Dana White has not confirmed but also hasn’t ruled out a potential rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight title, following Dvalishvili’s previous victory over O’Malley and successful title defense against Umar Nurmagomedov.

UFC CEO Dana White’s keeping us on our toes. Is a rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight title in the cards? Maybe, maybe not. He’s playing it cool.

After UFC Seattle last Saturday, reporters were buzzing with questions about the top matchups in the bantamweight division. Naturally, they wanted the scoop on Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2.

“They want to fight each other. I think people want to see it,” White said. Short and sweet, right?

Flashback to their first showdown: Dvalishvili snagged his first world title with a solid decision win over O’Malley at UFC 306 at Sphere in Vegas last September. Fast forward: Dvalishvili defended his title against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311 in January, marking his 12th straight victory. Talk about a winning streak!

Meanwhile, O’Malley’s been MIA since losing his title to Dvalishvili. He’s been sidelined with injuries, biding his time before stepping back into the octagon.
