Daniel Cormier’s Truck Stolen Post-UFC 317

Daniel Cormier, after calling an exciting UFC 317 event, returned home to find his newly purchased truck stolen from the San Jose Airport.

Daniel Cormier was part of the broadcast team for one of the best UFC cards in ages. Then, he flew home to a not-so-great surprise.

Cormier was calling the action with Jon Anik and Joe Rogan for UFC 317 last Saturday. The event was highlighted by Ilia Topuria’s jaw-dropping first-round knockout of Charles Oliveira, crowning him the UFC lightweight champ. But when Cormier got back to San Jose, he found out his truck was stolen Thursday night.

“Somebody stole my truck at the San Jose Airport,” Cormier shared on social media. “Goddamnit! Unbelievable.”

The San Jose Police Department is on the case. Cormier mentioned he had just bought the truck four days before the theft. After seven years with the same ride, he thought it was time for a change.

Despite the rough end to his weekend, Cormier enjoyed calling a spectacular night of fights during UFC’s International Fight Week. Besides Topuria’s knockout, UFC 317 featured flyweight champ Alexandre Pantoja’s stoppage win. Plus, Joshua Van earned a title shot with a Fight of the Year contender decision against Brandon Royval.

What a mix of highs and lows!
