His super lightweight debut was a sight to behold. Haney went toe-to-toe with Regis Prograis and emerged victorious. The fight took place on a Saturday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. The crowd? His hometown fans, who were ecstatic, to say the least.
Haney, already a former undisputed lightweight champion, gave Prograis a run for his money in his 140-pound debut. He scored a knockdown in Round 3 and won a clean 120-107 sweep on the judges’ scorecards. Talk about a masterclass!
