The announcement came from BKFC president David Feldman during an interview on The MMA Hour. Both fighters previously appeared on BKFC 41 in April, with Perry securing a second-round knockout victory over Luke Rockhold, and Alvarez earning a hard-fought split decision win over Chad Mendes.
Perry, who currently holds a perfect 3-0 record in BKFC, recently signed a new multi-fight contract with the organization. Expressing his confidence, Perry stated, “He must have some chip on his shoulder… I’ll gladly send him into retirement.” Alvarez, who made his BKFC debut against Mendes, looks to continue his success in the organization after joining from ONE Championship.
In addition to Perry versus Alvarez, BKFC 56 will feature a stacked main card with several other exciting matchups.
