Jake Paul blames Nate Diaz for rematch not happening: We’re fully ready to make it happen

Jake Paul is losing hope that he and Nate Diaz will have an MMA fight, as their talks have fallen through and Paul is currently focused on boxing.

Jake Paul and Nate Diaz were initially considering the possibility of an MMA rematch following their boxing match in August, but now it seems that their talks have fallen through, and Jake Paul is losing hope that it will happen. According to Paul, the blame belongs to Diaz, who he says has gone silent and is hiding behind the notion that he doesn’t want to fight in the PFL. Paul insists that he is fully ready to make the fight happen, and the opponent has to make sense. He mentioned that fighting in MMA has to be exciting and has a 50/50 percent chance of the outcome.

“Real Fight Inc.” is the name of Diaz’s promotion and served as co-promoters for the Paul boxing match. However, the company has yet to put on another event. On the other hand, Paul is partnered with PFL for his MMA career and did a photo shoot in PFL gear, teasing a potential MMA debut. Paul is set to face professional boxer Andre August in an eight-round matchup on December 15 at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Fla. He chose this matchup because he wants to start fighting real boxers instead of MMA fighters and influencers, with the goal of earning a shot at Canelo Alvarez. “That means that for the time being, Paul is focused on boxing,” but he suggested that sometime next year he will be ready to step inside the SmartCage.

So, the possibility of Paul’s MMA debut is still up in the air. He had initially mentioned late 2024 as a potential timeframe for fighting in MMA, but currently, there’s a lack of an opponent that makes sense, as Paul stated.
