Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again, but has accepted an offer to fight Diaz in an MMA match under the PFL banner.
Jake Paul has announced that he will be stepping back into the boxing ring on December 15th, however, his opponent will not be Nate Diaz. After Jake Paul’s victory against Diaz in August, there was much speculation about who Paul would face next. Diaz himself even added fuel to the rumors by sharing a poster promoting a rematch on social media. However, most valuable promotions, Paul’s promotion company, officially put an end to the talk.
In a tweet, Most Valuable Promotions stated that Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again, but they did reveal that an offer has been made for the two to have a rematch in an MMA match under the PFL banner. The idea of an MMA fight between the former UFC star and the popular influencer boxer is not new. In fact, leading up to their boxing match, Paul had offered Diaz $10 million to face him in an MMA match. Diaz responded by stating that he would only agree to the fight if it took place in the UFC octagon. Diaz even teased what could happen under MMA rules, playfully applying a guillotine choke on Paul during their boxing match.
With less than two months until fight night, it is still unknown who Jake Paul’s opponent will be on December 15th. The announcement that he will not be boxing Nate Diaz again has left fans curious about who Paul will face next in the ring.
