Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr. Salaries Revealed; Holm Earns $100K Post-UFC

The salaries for the boxing event headlined by Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. show Chavez earning $750,000, Paul $300,000, and co-main event fighter Gilberto Ramirez taking home the highest disclosed payday of $1.5 million.

The salaries for Saturday night’s boxing showdown, headlined by Jake Paul versus Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., have been unveiled. Interestingly, despite the hype, Paul is pocketing less than half of Chavez’s earnings.

The California State Athletic Commission confirmed these figures to MMA Fighting. Notably, the co-main event fighter is raking in the highest payday.

Chavez is set to earn a flat $750,000, without the usual show-win bonus. This amount excludes any additional bonuses from pay-per-view sales.

On the flip side, Paul is taking home $300,000 for the main event. Quite a contrast, huh?

In the co-main event, cruiserweight champ Gilbert Ramirez is scoring the biggest payday at $1.5 million. His opponent, Yuniel Dorticos, will earn $300,000.

Meanwhile, ex-UFC champ Holly Holm headlines the preliminary bouts. This marks her first paycheck since leaving the UFC for free agency.

Holm initially signed with the Global Fight League, which fizzled out before launching. So, she returned to boxing, earning $100,000 for her Saturday fight.

Her opponent, Yolanda Vega, is set to earn $22,000. Quite the disparity, but that’s boxing for you.

Full Salaries for the Paul vs. Chavez Card:

  • Jake Paul: $300,000
  • Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.: $750,000
  • Gilberto Ramirez: $1.5 million
  • Yuniel Dorticos: $300,000

The list goes on with fighters like Raul Curiel earning $125,000 and Victor Rodriguez at $65,000. Others, like Avious Griffin and Julian Rodriguez, are taking home $30,000 each.

Floyd Schofield and Tevin Farmer both snag $125,000. Meanwhile, Joel Iriarte and Kevin Johnson are at the lower end with $10,000 each.

And there you have it, a snapshot of the financial landscape for this weekend’s bouts. Quite the mix of earnings, reflecting the diverse talent stepping into the ring.
