Early on, he tangled with Thiago Moises on the ground. Then, out of nowhere, Gordon unleashed a perfectly timed right hand. Moises hit the canvas hard. Just like that, Gordon dropped a couple more bombs from above, and the ref had to step in.
The fight wrapped up at 3:37 in the first round. Quick, huh? “I was a little hesitant,” Gordon admitted post-fight. “Thought he’d go for a takedown. But I knew my boxing was better. Caught him good.”
Even against a top grappler like Moises, Gordon wasn’t afraid to take it to the ground. Though, Moises did land a shot that opened a nasty gash on Gordon’s forehead. Ouch.
