Former UFC competitor Jason “Mayhem” Miller was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor after allegedly choking a fan during a verbal altercation at a West Hollywood club, adding to his history of legal troubles which include incidents of domestic violence, vandalism, and attempted grand theft.
Jason “Mayhem” Miller, former UFC competitor, is once again in legal hot water. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, Miller was arrested and booked on a misdemeanor charge on August 30 in West Hollywood, California. His arrest was made at 5 a.m. local time, and he spent around six hours in custody before being released. Unfortunately, the booking sheet failed to disclose the specifics of his charge.
Online reports suggest that the arrest resulted from an incident that occurred at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood on August 29. According to TMZ, who first disclosed news of the arrest, a fan approached Miller at the club leading to a verbal confrontation that quickly escalated. Miller allegedly placed the victim in a chokehold before security stepped in to de-escalate the situation.
Miller reportedly left the venue just before the law enforcement was called but was subsequently apprehended when he allegedly returned to the club the following day. Sadly, this is not the first instance of legal trouble for Miller. Over the years, he has been involved in multiple legal issues, including a guilty plea for domestic violence charges in 2017. Furthermore, in 2019, he was sentenced to a year in jail for vandalism and violating a protective order. In addition to those charges, he received another year-long prison sentence in 2021 for vandalism, attempted grand theft, felony domestic violence, and resisting arrest which led to his imprisonment from June 2022 to May 2023.
