Jon Jones Re-Enters Drug-Testing for UFC White House Event

Jon Jones is considering a comeback to fight at a proposed UFC event at The White House in 2026, following his retirement announcement in June.

Jon Jones is eyeing a return to the octagon with a major opportunity on the horizon. Yep, you heard right.

President Donald Trump announced plans for a UFC event at The White House to celebrate Independence Day 2026. This got several fighters buzzing, including Conor McGregor, who’s already interested in the card.

Jones, now 37, hinted at a comeback after retiring in June. He took to social media with a cryptic message: “Fighting at The White House?” followed by an eyes emoji. Intriguing, right?

Adding fuel to the fire, Jones tweeted he’s back in the testing pool. “Just re-entered the testing pool, that lasted for about two weeks. Figured we’d keep everyone’s options open.” Keeping us all guessing.

Jones hung up his gloves on June 21 after snagging the UFC heavyweight title but fighting only twice since 2020. Critics often pointed fingers for his avoidance of Tom Aspinall, the interim champ eager for a unification bout. With Jones out, Aspinall was bumped up to undisputed champion.

And let’s be real, Trump would love to have Jones at the event. He was there for Jones’ last fight at UFC 309 in New York. Jones defended his title against Stipe Miocic, celebrated with a Trump-style dance, and greeted the president cageside. What a night!

Who knows what’s next? But one thing’s for sure: the MMA world is watching.
