Jon Jones Replies to Cormier Threat: ‘More Than Bruises’

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier continue their long-standing rivalry with public exchanges, as Jones claims he remains in Cormier’s head following their past UFC encounters.

Jon Jones thinks he’ll always have a spot in Daniel Cormier’s mind.

The two rivals are at it again after Cormier’s comments during the UFC 318 weigh-in show. When asked where he’d face his nemesis, Cormier hinted at his ongoing feud with Jones.

“I kind of want the ability to kill him, so I’d like to do it at my house,” Cormier said. “They can’t really do anything.”

Jones fired back on Instagram, saying, “Could you imagine getting your ass kicked for the third time in front of the wife and kids?” They’ve clashed twice in the octagon, with Jones winning both times, though the second victory was overturned due to a failed drug test.

On Twitter, Jones kept the heat on, writing, “DC said he wants to kill me at his house. I already buried him twice in the octagon. Third time I’m bringing a shovel.”

Their rivalry spans years, with both fighters boasting Hall of Fame careers. Jones held the UFC light heavyweight title from 2011 to 2020 and later snagged the heavyweight title in 2023. Meanwhile, Cormier claimed both light heavyweight and heavyweight titles, stepping in during Jones’ suspension.

Jones believes Cormier can’t escape his shadow. “A blind man can see the mansion I own in Daniel’s head,” he wrote. “I just didn’t realize how deep his hate still runs.”

Recently, Jones announced a brief retirement but hinted at a return for a proposed UFC White House event in 2026.

Stay tuned for more fireworks!
