Jorge Masvidal plans to legally defeat Colby Covington in the cage.

Jorge Masvidal plans to “f**king murder” Colby Covington in a UFC fight, legally, after allegedly assaulting him outside the ring.

Jorge Masvidal is not afraid to put his next fight on the line as he told Joe Rogan, “I’m gonna f**king murder Colby in the cage, legally.” The statement came when Masvidal was accused of assaulting Covington last March 2022. Although Masvidal and Covington already fought once where the latter won by unanimous decision, the former is still determined to fight Covington one last time before he retires from MMA.

Masvidal even reveals his eagerness to face Covington again, stating that he wanted to hurt him the last time they fought, but it wasn’t the best version of him. He promises to take Covington’s soul before he closes the chapter in his life in MMA. Masvidal punched Covington on the streets of Miami days after their UFC fight in March 2022, which fueled the rivalry between the two fighters.

The two fighters have a well-documented feud that started when they were training partners in American Top Team. The relationship turned sour when Covington took shots at his former friend and ATT teammate, Masvidal, during a post-fight interview. The two fighters have since talked trash about each other, leading to their match in UFC 272. The second fight to decide who is the best fighter between the two could be one of the more anticipated UFC fights in recent memory.

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington could have a grudge match in the near future. Although the fight has not been officially announced yet as both fighters have their scheduled matches, fans can expect that once they go head-to-head, it will be the fight of the century. Perhaps fans would love to see a fierce competition between Masvidal and Covington in the cage, as it seems that their rivalry has yet to be settled.
