Jorge Masvidal Sends Support to Former Rival Ben Askren

Jorge Masvidal, once a fierce rival of Ben Askren, is now offering support and well-wishes as Askren battles serious health issues, expressing a desire to meet and bury the hatchet.

Once fierce rivals, Jorge Masvidal is now sending his best wishes to Ben Askren.

Their clash at UFC 239 in July 2019 was one for the ages. Masvidal’s flying knee knockout of Askren in just five seconds made headlines. It was brutal, unforgettable.

Now, with Askren battling serious health issues like double pneumonia, Masvidal hopes for his recovery. He wants to bury the hatchet for good.

“What’s up, my brother?” Masvidal shared on Instagram. “We were rivals, sure. But God bless you. When I’m back in America, I’d love to shake your hand and say a prayer together.”

Both have retired from MMA, yet the rivalry lingers. That knockout? It launched Masvidal into the spotlight.

“Gamebred” finds inspiration in his former foe. He’s eager to express his gratitude when he can.

“You’re a f*cking warrior, brother,” Masvidal continued. “Your story? Crazy inspirational. Can’t wait to shake your hand.”

“Hope all is well, brother.”
