Harrison posted a video addressing her neck surgery, apologizing to Nunes for rescheduling their fight, and expressing gratitude to her supporters and medical team.
Harrison recently shared a video on social media. She opened up about her neck surgery and offered an apology to Nunes.
“This is a tough one,” Harrison admitted. She explained that she underwent surgery in New York City with Dr. Kim. As a result, her fight needs to be rescheduled. “I’m sorry, Amanda,” she added, expressing her disappointment.
Gratitude flowed as she thanked everyone involved. From the UFC team to Dr. Kimmy in New York, her appreciation was clear. She also gave a shoutout to her mom for taking care of her kids.
Harrison’s achievements are notable. A two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo and undefeated in the UFC, she claimed the championship by defeating Julianna Peña in June.
Yet, no return date has been set. The promotion hasn’t announced if Nunes will face another opponent. Uncertainty lingers.
“Day one of recovery,” Harrison stated optimistically. She spoke of faith and gratitude, believing this journey will bring her closer to God. “I’ll be back soon,” she promised.
Meanwhile, UFC 324 is heating up. Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett headlines the event, with Sean O’Malley vs. Song Yadong as the co-main attraction. Exciting times ahead!
