Kevin Lee will headline PFL 5 on June 20 against reigning lightweight champion Gadzhi Rabadanov, marking his league debut after leaving GFL due to canceled events.
Kevin Lee’s back in the spotlight! PFL announced that Lee (20-8) has signed on to headline against Gadzhi Rabadanov (25-4-1) at PFL 5 on June 20. He’s stepping in for the injured Jay Jay Wilson.
This fight marks Lee’s debut with PFL. Previously, he was set to join GFL, but with their events canceled, he moved on. Gotta keep rolling with the punches, right?
At 32, Lee’s no stranger to the big stage. Once a UFC interim lightweight title challenger, he left the promotion after a mixed bag of results, 11-8 to be exact. He’s looking to build on a recent win where he submitted Thiago Oliveira in the first round at a Lights Out Championship event.
Rabadanov, 31, is the reigning PFL lightweight champ. He clinched the 2024 tournament by beating Brent Primus in the final. Oh, and he’s on an 11-fight win streak since 2020. Impressive, huh?
Primus and Alfie Davis are waiting in the other lightweight semifinal. Davis is fresh off a first-round win over Clay Collard. Exciting stuff!
Mark your calendars for June 20. PFL 5 is happening at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan. Can’t wait!
