Kevin Lee’s Jaw Wired After PFL 6 Knockout Loss

Kevin Lee is contemplating his fighting future after a knockout loss to Gadzhi Rabadanov in his PFL debut, questioning his ability to endure punishment and revealing a jaw injury.

Kevin Lee’s contemplating his future in the cage after a brutal knockout loss last Friday. The injuries he sustained have only added to his concerns.

Lee made his PFL debut against the highly-rated Gadzhi Rabadanov in PFL 6’s main event. This bout was a semifinal for the lightweight world tournament. Rabadanov, a heavy favorite, dominated Lee, ending the fight with a knockout after just over half a round.

Post-fight, Lee questioned his resilience. Can he still take the hits?

He tweeted, “I’m not a coward. At least I can say that I tried. I shot for the stars.” A candid reflection on his current struggles. “My legs just aren’t what they used to be. I can’t absorb shots anymore and honestly, I don’t know if it will come back.”

Adding to his woes, Lee revealed a jaw injury that required wiring. Ouch.

It’s been a rough patch for Lee, once seen as a rising star. He’s lost four of his last six fights, including defeats to Charles Oliveira and Rinat Fakhretdinov. His only wins were against Diego Sanchez for Eagle FC and a regional finish for Lights Out Championship.

Meanwhile, Rabadanov moves on to the championship match against Alfie Davis, with a $500,000 prize on the line.
