Mamed Khalidov vs Scott Askham Trilogy Fight: KSW Colosseum 2 Main Event Announced

Mamed Khalidov and Scott Askham are set to meet again on a massive KSW stage, headlining the upcoming Colosseum 2 event.

Mamed Khalidov and Scott Askham are set to meet again in a highly anticipated rematch on the KSW stage. The Polish promotion announced that the third match-up between Khalidov and Askham will headline the upcoming Colosseum 2 event, taking place at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw on June 3.

The series between Khalidov (38-8-2) and Askham (19-5) is currently tied, with Askham emerging victorious in their first meeting by decision in December 2019. Khalidov avenged the loss 10 months later, delivering a spectacular switch kick knockout in just 36 seconds at KSW 55. Khalidov most recently competed in September, where he defeated fellow KSW legend Mariusz Pudzianowski by first-round TKO in the main event of KSW 77. As a result of his performance, Khalidov has held titles in the promotion’s middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.

On the other hand, Askham has not fought since his second encounter with Khalidov, as a back injury has kept him on the sidelines for the past two and a half years. He seeks to regain his momentum after losing to Khalidov and snapping a five-fight win streak. In addition to the much-anticipated Khalidov vs. Askham 3, the Colosseum 2 card will also feature a heavyweight matchup between Pudzianowski and boxer Artur Szpilka on June 3.
