Matt Brown: Logan Paul Prefers Dillon Danis Over Mike Perry in Potential Matchup

Logan Paul is predicted to beat Dillon Danis in a boxing match in October, but if Danis can’t fight for any reason, Paul may face opponent Mike Perry, making his odds of winning more uncertain.

Logan Paul is expected to come up on top in his boxing match with Dillon Danis set for October. However, if Danis is unable to proceed or withdraws from the fight, Mike Perry, a UFC veteran and present star of BKFC, is set to replace him in the October 14 card with KSI vs. Tommy Fury as the main event. Though not highly experienced in boxing, Perry demonstrated his prowess with a recent triumph over Michael Seals, a 30-match veteran, in a mixed-rules bout in Triad Combat.

It is significant to note that Perry has made a name for himself with his aggressive approach and ability to demolish opponents with his devastating knockout power. UFC welterweight Matt Brown argues that Paul should hope for Danis to show up, as his chances of winning could dwindle if he were to fight Perry. Brown goes on to explain with a powerful statement, “He does not want to mess with Mike Perry”, further adding that even though Perry may not be an excellent boxer, he could still pose a huge threat to Paul with his remarkably bold and audacious style.

Concerns about Danis making it to the fight are born out of his absence from combat sports in the last four years. He backed out of a slated boxing match against KSI in January, which caused quite a stir and led to Perry being arranged as a back-up. Irrespective, Brown believes that Danis could, in fact, stand a chance to win against Paul due to his sheer athletic prowess, stemming from his background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and his couple of MMA fights in Bellator. He underscores Danis’s potential to adequately challenge Paul, despite his current predicaments and unpredictability about his show up.

Brown also seems to give credit to Danis’s pre-fight verbal onslaughts which have been fiercely targeted at his opponent, Paul, and his fiancée, Nina Agdal. He refers to Danis’s trash talk as “some very high-level s***” and highlights how Danis has transformed himself from a laughing stock to a legend in MMA history.
