Merab Dvalishvili promised a stellar performance in his rematch against Sean O’Malley, and he delivered. In the UFC 316 main event, he secured a submission finish with a nasty choke in the third round.
The Georgian fighter showcased his vintage style, relentlessly pressuring O’Malley with takedowns. Although O’Malley improved his wrestling defense, he couldn’t fend off Dvalishvili’s relentless assault.
In the third round, Dvalishvili spotted an opening for a guillotine choke. O’Malley’s attempt to escape only tightened the grip, forcing him to tap out at 4:42.

With a perfect opening for a power guillotine choke, Dvalishvili locked it in. O’Malley struggled to break free, but the fight ended moments later.
