Michael Chandler Promises to Defeat Conor McGregor at UFC White House Event

Michael Chandler is eager to fight Conor McGregor in 2026, potentially at a historic UFC event at the White House in June, as both fighters prepare for a highly anticipated showdown.

Michael Chandler is all in, eyeing a showdown with Conor McGregor in 2026. Yep, he’s putting everything on the line for this one.

On New Year’s Eve, during a broadcast on CBS and Paramount+, Chandler was asked about his next move. He didn’t hesitate to drop hints about facing McGregor, a fight rumored to headline a UFC event at the White House in June.

Nothing’s set in stone yet, but Chandler’s confident. He believes the fight might soon be a done deal.

“It’s going to be a big year,” Chandler declared. “UFC’s on Paramount+ for years to come, and there’s a buzz—can’t say much—but I might be giving McGregor a red, white, and blue beatdown on the White House lawn this summer. Let’s go!”

Previously, Chandler and McGregor were set to fight after coaching on The Ultimate Fighter. But an injury sidelined McGregor.

Fast forward two years, and McGregor’s back in the UFC’s anti-doping program, eyeing that White House fight. His last bout was in 2021 against Dustin Poirier, ending with a nasty leg break.

The White House gig has McGregor training hard, sharing updates on social media, plotting his 2026 return.

Chandler, on the other hand, is eager to bounce back after losses to Charles Oliveira in 2024 and a TKO by Paddy Pimblett in April.

UFC CEO Dana White has hinted that planning for the White House event starts in February. But it seems McGregor and Chandler are already gearing up for a June clash.
