Nate Diaz criticizes younger UFC fighters for using his name to gain attention, emphasizing that their trash talk is often not backed up in person and urging them to show respect.
Nate Diaz isn’t demanding anyone bow down to him. But hey, a little respect wouldn’t hurt.
The UFC veteran, once a "BMF" title contender, has noticed a trend. New fighters seem to love using his name for attention. Diaz, a big name in the sport, often hears unprovoked shots fired his way. It’s something he’d never have done to his own heroes.
“You guys are all O.G.’s to me,” Diaz shared with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson on the HJR podcast. “Now, these fools, like 10 years younger, they’re like ‘Nate Diaz, you’re a bitch.’ Why talk to me like that, motherf*cker?”
Diaz senses these callouts are more bark than bite. Face-to-face, the energy shifts, revealing a thirst for attention rather than a genuine challenge.
Two incidents really got under his skin. Bo Nickal and Justin Gaethje took shots without any real reason. Diaz insists he had no beef until they stirred the pot.
“Justin Gaethje, when he came out,” Diaz recalled. “He’s like, ‘He’s a fcking this and that.’ I’m like, bro, why even acknowledge that? I should fcking beat your ass when I see you.”
And then there’s Bo Nickal. “That dude was dissing on me,” Diaz said. “I’m like, bitch, f*ck you. Why even mention my name, you little bitch?”
Diaz warns these fighters to remember their words when they meet him. For them, it might be business, but for Diaz, it’s personal.
“I’m with it though,” Diaz declared. “Be about it [when you see me]. I’m like f*ck you, bitch and you’re like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I remember what you said.”
