Olympic Champ Gable Steveson Wins 24-Second Knockout in Pro Fight

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, now 2-0 in his MMA career, delivered a 24-second knockout in the main event of APFC 21, showcasing his potential as a top prospect under the mentorship of Jon Jones.

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson is making waves in MMA, boasting a 2-0 record. Remarkably, he’s spent under two minutes in the cage.

On Sunday, Steveson headlined APFC 21, a promotion by former UFC champ Anthony Pettis. It took him just 24 seconds to deliver a crushing knockout.

The knockout was a masterpiece. Steveson feigned a takedown, then unleashed a powerful left hand. His opponent, Kevin Hein, hit the canvas before he knew what happened.

The referee quickly intervened, awarding Steveson a lightning-fast victory. His previous 15-second knockout in Dirty Boxing, though impressive, doesn’t count on his MMA record.

Steveson’s potential is undeniable. He’s one of the most exciting prospects to enter MMA in recent memory.

A decorated wrestler, Steveson won multiple NCAA Championships and captured gold at the 2020 Olympics. He’s the youngest American wrestler to achieve this feat.

After a short WWE stint, he returned to fighting, joining Jon Jones’ camp. Jones is now his mentor and coach, guiding him toward a UFC future.

In his post-fight chat, Steveson name-dropped UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard again, as he did after his debut. Clearly, he’s catching the promotion’s eye.

For now, Steveson enjoys a perfect 2-0 record, with both victories ending in first-round knockouts. What’s next? Only time will tell.
