Paige VanZant Secures Power Slap Title Bout at International Fight Week

Paige VanZant will compete in the first-ever Power Slap women’s title bout against Mikael-Michelle Brown on June 27 in Las Vegas, following her successful transition from UFC and BKFC to Power Slap.

Paige VanZant is about to get what she’s been asking for. The UFC and BKFC veteran is stepping into history with the first-ever women’s title bout in Power Slap. This exciting event is slated for June 27 during International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

Facing off against Mikael-Michelle Brown, VanZant is ready for a rematch. They’re battling for the inaugural Power Slap women’s flyweight championship. The showdown takes place at the Fontainebleau, just a day before UFC 317 rocks the T-Mobile Arena.

Their first clash? VanZant dominated, scoring 30-27 across the board. Afterward, she didn’t hold back, calling out for a title shot. “Hey Dana [White], where’s that [125-pound] belt, baby?” she exclaimed. “Put me on the next card. Let’s get some women’s belts. We’re here to stay. We’re here to knock bitches out and slap people all day.”

VanZant’s move to Power Slap was unexpected, given her UFC and BKFC past. She kicked off her Power Slap career with a win, but a draw followed due to an illegal blow. Determined, she secured a victory in her third match back in March, setting the stage for her title aspirations.

Now, at 31, VanZant is on the brink of adding a championship to her résumé. The Power Slap title bout is booked for June, and she’s ready to make her mark.
