Patchy Mix Joins UFC, Debuts Against Mario Bautista at UFC 316

Patchy Mix, a former Bellator bantamweight champion with a 20-1 record, has joined the UFC and will debut against Mario Bautista at UFC 315 after securing his release from the PFL.

Patchy Mix has finally joined the UFC. After being the top bantamweight outside the promotion, he’s found a new home.

He secured his release from the PFL just last week. Now, Mix is set to debut against Mario Bautista at UFC 315 on June 7 in Newark, N.J.

The announcement came during the UFC Vegas 106 broadcast. Exciting times ahead!

Mix boasts a stellar 20-1 record with 15 finishes. His Bellator run saw him defeat fighters like Kyoji Horiguchi and Sergio Pettis.

Currently, he’s on a seven-fight win streak. This includes capturing and defending the Bellator bantamweight title, last in May 2024.

Mix had voiced frustration over inactivity at PFL. Eventually, he requested and received his release.

Didn’t take long for the UFC to snatch him up. He’s stepping in for Marlon “Chito” Vera, who was injured.

Bautista, with seven straight wins, aims to challenge Mix. Their clash is highly anticipated at UFC 316.

The card is headlined by two title fights. Merab Dvalishvili faces Sean O’Malley, and Julianna Pena defends against Kayla Harrison.

Exciting matchups await!
