Sean Strickland, a former UFC middleweight champion, recently sparred with content creator Nick Nayersina, showcasing his superior skills, while looking to rebound in his professional fighting career after a recent loss.
Sean Strickland’s been racking up impressive stats, but not in the usual octagon battles. Nope, he’s taking on YouTubers and social media stars these days.
Recently, he sparred with content creator Nick Nayersina at Xtreme Couture in Vegas. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well for Nayersina. He shared a teaser clip on Twitter, hinting at a full video release. Intrigued?
Check out the video below.
The footage shows Strickland unleashing a flurry of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. To be fair, Nayersina held his ground as best he could. Talk about guts!
In terms of his professional career, Strickland’s aiming to rebound from a tough decision loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312 last February. His goal? Regain the middleweight title. Before that setback, he beat Paulo Costa at UFC 301 in June. Oh, and he lost the championship to du Plessis earlier in January at UFC 297. Busy year, huh?
Strickland made waves when he snatched the belt in September 2023 by outclassing Israel Adesanya over five rounds at UFC 293. What a shocker!
