Shara Magomedov Responds to Arman Tsarukyan Before Hype FC Match

Shara Magomedov refuted Arman Tsarukyan‘s insinuations of fear before their grappling match, asserting his presence in Armenia and highlighting their differing life experiences and understanding of fear.

Shara Magomedov isn’t backing down when it comes to Arman Tsarukyan.

These two UFC fighters are gearing up for a grappling showdown on Tuesday at a Hype FC event in Armenia. Before the event, Tsarukyan stirred the pot on Instagram live, suggesting Magomedov might not show up—implying fear, perhaps?

But Magomedov did show up in Armenia, making it to the press conference to address Tsarukyan’s remarks.

“I’m already here,” he stated. “I came to the arena as soon as I landed. Your loud words don’t suit you. You’re getting personal.”

He added, “You talk about bravery and sport. My understanding of fear isn’t the same as yours.”

Tsarukyan, meanwhile, is prepping for his fifth grappling match this year. He recently snagged a submission win at ACBJJ 20. Despite his success, he was sidelined for a title shot, watching others vie for interim gold at UFC 324.

Magomedov, on the other hand, faced his first MMA loss to Michael Page at UFC Saudi Arabia but bounced back with a Fight of the Night win over Marc-Andre Barriault in Abu Dhabi.

The 31-year-old shared his perspective on fear with Tsarukyan.

“I stole aluminum in my neighborhood to afford training gloves,” Magomedov explained. “You’ve lived a different life, brother. Don’t talk about me being afraid. Guys like you call the police around me.”
