UFC

The UFC 249 card is still coming together with the addition of a bantamweight matchup between Sijara Eubanks vs Sarah Moras. This was first reported by Newsday’s Ryan Gerbosi.  UFC 249 takes place on April 18 in Brooklyn, NY. Eubanks is looking to get her first win, since moving up to the bantamweight division and Moraes is looking to continue her winning streak.

Eubanks is hoping to get back into the winning column. In 2019, Eubanks decided to move up to bantamweight and is still trying to find her way to being a contender. She’s heading into UFC 249 on a two-fight losing streak, her loss is a unanimous decision to Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night 159 on September 21, 2019. Eubanks has wins over Roxanne Modafferi and Lauren Murphy in the UFC and a win over Moras can be the start for her rise to being a contender in the bantamweight division. Eubanks is ranked 15th in the bantamweight division and has an MMA record of 4-4.

Moras is looking to break into the top 15 of the bantamweight division with a win over Eubanks. Her last win was against Liana Jojua by TKO at UFC 242 on September 7, 2019. Before her win over Jojua, Moras was on a three-fight losing streak. Now Moras has momentum and a win over Eubanks can get Moras ranked.

UFC 249 will be headlined by lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson for the lightweight championship. Another fight on the card will be a rematch between former strawweight champions Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday. More fights are still being announced for the card.
