Las Vegas has always been the home of combat sports, and UFC matches are no strangers there. The Sin City has greatly developed top stars like Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, etc. As the year progresses, various UFC matches will be held in this popular location. We discuss the top fights that have ever occurred here and held fans’ sway.

Chuck Liddel vs. Wanderlei Silva – UFC 79, Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada

The UFC 61 co-main event was also headlined by Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre. However, fans got their ticket’s worth with the entertaining show Liddell and Silva put out in a standoff. It included the regulars: from a pre-fight staredown to a well-attended match show. Although this event happened almost at the end of both fighters’ careers, it still remains one of the top UFC main events that has happened in Las Vegas.

Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard – UFC 125, MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

All the fights between Edgar and Maynard may position themselves as some of the events in a series. Each fighter went into a match holding clean records, although it ended with Maynard becoming the winner. These rounds have always been focal points for several spectators, especially those who watch from Michigan. These fans also serve as customers, enjoying the chance to sign up quickly on a casino site and start playing. To keep the passion alive, the WynnBet MI review has been the reason most place bets to land prizes and enjoy bonuses, including a 100% deposit match offer up to $1,000. In a turn of events, Edgar responded by training super hard and going on a 5-match-unbeaten run.

Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II – UFC 202, T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Diaz placed an embargo on Conor’s boasting prowess in a certain twist of events. The ‘Notorious One’ got a huge choke in the second round. However, the Irish champion avenged the loss in the next encounter at UFC 202.

This fight was a top reveal, especially as Conor displayed his finesse and skills matched by his timely kicks in the first round. Although he lost some steam as the game progressed, giving Diaz leverage, he took control of the event to pick his opponent apart. The match went right to the end as Conor redeemed his image.

Robbie Lawler vs. Rory McDonald – UFC 189, MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

The match between Robbie and McDonald II did not receive as much publicity as it should, particularly due to the buildup match where Conor McGregor was to face Chad Mendes in another of the top featherweight title matches. However, the encounter was, as expected, a true masterpiece.

The two welterweights came out to put on a show as they battled toe-to-toe and leveled against each other. However, Lawler retained his status as a ruthless fighter as he combined different shots and combinations against his opponent from multiple angles. The main showdown of the match was in the fourth round, which remains one of the greatest showdowns in UFC history. Lawler came out victorious with a TKO during the fifth round.

Stephan Bonnar vs. Forrest Griggin – The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale, Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas, Nevada

According to many analysts, this feisty event represents events that defined the UFC in Las Vegas. The match between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar on April 9th, 2005, was a showdown to expect. These two light heavyweight competitors put everything they had into the match. With a six-figure UFC contract on the table as the prize, there was no telling who would become the top champion. However, the three-round match ended with Griffin becoming the winner by unanimous announcement decision, but Bonnar also received a UFC contract as compensation.

Final Words

The Sin City will always remain a top spot for some of the best UFC main events. Many fighters have graced several venues within Las Vegas, and the fans always show appreciation by turning up in numbers. Currently, the promotion has detailed more matches from late spring to early summer. We expect it to hold the same sway, especially with the addition of more female encounters.
