Grappling champion Tye Ruotolo will make his MMA debut against undefeated prospect Adrian Lee at ONE Fight Night 35 in Bangkok on September 5.
Grappling champ Tye Ruotolo is finally making his MMA debut. He’s set to face 19-year-old prospect Adrian Lee at ONE Fight Night 35. The event happens at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sept. 5.
ONE officials spilled the beans to MMA Fighting on Wednesday. Exciting stuff!
Both Tye and his brother Kade Ruotolo are multi-time grappling champs. They initially signed with ONE Championship to compete in both grappling and MMA. Kade’s already rocking a flawless 3-0 MMA record. Now, it’s Tye’s turn in the spotlight.
In his grappling days, Ruotolo took down big names like Garry Tonon, Marat Gafurov, and Reinier de Ridder. Quite the resume, huh? He’s eager to showcase his full fighting prowess against a challenging opponent right off the bat.
Adrian Lee, on the other hand, comes in with an undefeated 3-0 record. He’s following in the footsteps of his famous siblings, Christian and Angela Lee, who both held titles with ONE.
Lee’s been on fire with three straight submission wins since his pro debut. Now, he’s gearing up to face a championship-level grappler in September. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds!
