UFC 292 Boston: Joe Rogan spearheads pay-per-view broadcast team

The regular UFC pay-per-view commentary team of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier will be covering the UFC 292‘s main event in Boston where Aljamain Sterling will defend his title against Sean O’Malley, while Megan Olivi will serve as the reporter.

The upcoming UFC 292 event in Boston will feature Aljamain Sterling’s title defense against Sean O’Malley, in the main event. The event will be narrated by the regular pay-per-view broadcast team. Fans can anticipate strategic fight analysis and exciting commentary from this esteemed team. The main event is not the sole draw, as the card also has a strawweight championship bout and a fighter making his much-anticipated return.

Leading the broadcast team will be the play-by-play commentator Jon Anik. Providing additional commentary and expert insights will be Joe Rogan and UFC Hall of Famer, Daniel Cormier, a former two-division champion. Adding to the team is Megan Olivi who will be reporting from within the arena, ensuring fans do not miss out on any behind-the-scenes action. UFC officials have already confirmed this line-up of commentators.

It is usual for Anik, Rogan, and Cormier to be the primary commentators for UFC pay-per-view broadcasts, particularly for events taking place within the United States. However, Rogan is often absent for international cards, and occasionally misses domestic events depending on other commitments like his comedy tour. Fortunately for fans, Rogan will be present for UFC 292. Aside from Sterling and O’Malley’s clash, the card also features Zhang Weili who will be defending her strawweight title against Amanda Lemos. Also making an appearance will be Chris Weidman following a horrific leg injury in his previous match at UFC 261 in April 2021.

During Weidman’s last outing, the commentary trio of Anik, Rogan, and Cormier were present. All three were visibly horrified at Weidman’s terrible injury as his leg snapped when his kick was blocked by Hall. Now, more than two years after the incident, Weidman is returning to the octagon. He will be starring in the featured preliminary fight at UFC 292 against Brad Tavares.
