UFC 295: Jiri Prochazka Confronts Jamahal Hill Suspicion – A Plea for Self-Honesty

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is focused on beating Alex Pereira at UFC 295 to reclaim the title he believes is rightfully his, despite Jamahal Hill being listed as the current champion on the UFC’s website and claiming the title-winning performance was stronger than Prochazka’s, as Prochazka strives to maintain honor and speak the truth in all his words and actions.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is focused on reclaiming the title he lost due to injury by defeating Alex Pereira at UFC 295. Even though Jamahal Hill is still listed as the champion on the UFC’s website, Prochazka believes he is the rightful champ heading into the bout for the vacant title. He stated, “I have to take it like that, because it’s my mindset to direct it for this feeling, to show that I’m the champion.”

Hill, who was forced to relinquish the belt due to injury, believes his title-winning performance against Glover Teixeira was stronger than Prochazka’s. He fired back at Prochazka and MMA Hour host Ariel Helwani for what he believed was unfair treatment. Prochazka, however, did not appreciate being the target of a fellow fighter, stating, “It was not nice. The guys like to talk – just talk. But please, be honest with yourself with this talking about others.”

Prochazka prefers to maintain an honorable approach in the sport of prizefighting. He emphasized the importance of being true to his words and actions, stating, “For me, what I’m doing, what I’m saying, and everything, that’s my lifestyle. That’s everything.”

While he does not appreciate trash talk, Prochazka holds no grudge toward Hill and is focused on showing that he is the best in the division. He stated, “I know that Jamal spoke about me, many bad things, many good things, doesn’t matter for me. I like him, I like other guys in the division. I will just show that I am the best in the division.”
