Nikita Krylov and Azamat Murzakanov will face off in a high-stakes light heavyweight bout at UFC 309 on November 16 at Madison Square Garden, with the event headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.
A high-stakes light heavyweight matchup is set for the UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden.
The promotion announced that Nikita Krylov and Azamat Murzakanov will clash at UFC 309 on Nov. 16. The iconic venue? None other than New York’s world-renowned arena.
Krylov, making a comeback after nearly two years, last fought in March 2023. He finished Ryan Spann in the first round at UFC Las Vegas.
Before that, he secured a unanimous decision against Volkan Oezdemir and finished Alexander Gustafsson, a two-time title challenger.
Murzakanov boasts a pristine 14-0 record as a pro fighter. His UFC journey began with a perfect 4-0 start.
In August, he stopped Alonzo Menifield in the second round at UFC Abu Dhabi. “The Professional” also holds victories over Dustin Jacoby, Devin Clark, and Tafon Nchukwi.
UFC 309’s main event? A heavyweight title fight where champion Jon Jones defends against former champion Stipe Miocic.
