UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich Starts 30-Day Jail Sentence for DWI

UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich began a 30-day jail sentence for a prior DWI conviction, following multiple drunk driving charges since 2019.

UPDATE: Miletich began a 30-day jail sentence on Wednesday due to a prior DWI conviction, not any new charges. Yep, the UFC Hall of Famer’s spending some time behind bars.

According to online records, Miletich’s 30-day sentence—mandatory for his DWI case—started in Scott County Jail, Iowa. This stems from an earlier conviction for driving under the influence.

Back in April, Miletich pled guilty to a similar charge. He got two years probation from Scott County Court after a September 2023 arrest. What happened? Allegedly, he drove a pickup in the wrong direction, over a grass embankment, and then fell asleep in a Shell station parking lot. With the truck still running. In drive.

At 57, he’s faced three drunk driving charges since 2019. That September arrest was the third, just a month before losing to Mike Jackson at Caged Aggression 36. Couldn’t start the third round—lost via second-round TKO.

Miletich? A legend. Competed 10 times in the UFC, once a welterweight champ. Lost the title to Carlos Newton at UFC 31 in May 2004.
