Glover Teixeira defeated Thiago Santos by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) Saturday, and in the co-main event, Andrei Arlovski defeated Tanner Boser in round 3 by Decision (Unanimous).

UFC on ESPN 17 had 10 bouts scheduled. Raoni Barcelos vs. Khalid Taha was awarded the Fight of the Night bonus. The Performance of the Night bonuses went to Giga Chikadze and Alexandr Romanov. The fighters took home an extra $50,000.
