He’s a former PFL champ, now stepping into the octagon against seasoned heavyweight Marcin Tybura (27-9) at UFC Paris. Eurosport broke the news first.
Delija, with a solid 25-6 record, snagged the PFL heavyweight crown in 2022 after being runner-up in 2021. His victories over Matheus Scheffel, Shelton Graves, and Renan Ferreira were impressive. In the 2022 final, he took down Scheffel again, pocketing a cool $1,000,000.
After going 1-1 in his last PFL bouts, he came back strong. A first-round KO against Yorgan De Castro in Slovenia this April showed he’s still got it.
On the flip side, Tybura’s been a UFC heavyweight staple for nearly a decade. The Polish fighter’s on a roll, with wins over Mick Parkin and Jhonata Diniz. This fight marks his 23rd UFC appearance.
