UFC Schedules Top Strawweights for April 4 Las Vegas Event

Virna Jandiroba will face Tabatha Ricci in a Brazil vs. Brazil fight at UFC APEX on April 4, marking Jandiroba’s first match since her title challenge loss, while the main event for the Las Vegas Fight Night card remains unannounced.

Virna Jandiroba’s stepping back into the octagon! Her next bout? A Brazil vs. Brazil showdown with Tabatha Ricci at the UFC APEX on April 4. MMA Fighting confirmed this juicy tidbit after a report from Leo Guimaraes.

Interestingly, the UFC hasn’t spilled the beans on the main event for the Las Vegas Fight Night card yet. Suspense, anyone?

Jandiroba (22-4) was riding a five-fight winning wave when she faced Mackenzie Dern for the vacant title in October. Why vacant? Zhang Weili had vacated it to challenge Valentina Shevchenko at flyweight. Alas, Jandiroba lost by decision.

Known as “Carcara,” she’s a former Invicta FC champ with an 8-4 UFC record since 2019. Impressive wins against Yan Xiaonan, Amanda Lemos, Loopy Godinez, Marina Rodriguez, and Angela Hill marked her journey from 2022 to 2025.

On the flip side, Ricci (12-3) boasts seven wins in her 10 octagon appearances since 2021. Remember her brutal knockout over Amanda Ribas in July 2025? A highlight reel moment!

Dubbed “Baby Shark,” Ricci’s only tasted defeat twice in strawweight bouts. Those losses? Decisions to Xiaonan and Godinez. But she’s also conquered veterans like Hill, Tecia Pennington, Gillian Robertson, and Jessica Penne. Quite the resume!
