Umar Nurmagomedov: Dillon Danis Beatdown at UFC 322 Wasn’t Enough

Dillon Danis is banned from future UFC events after a brawl with Islam Makhachev‘s team at UFC 322, with Umar Nurmagomedov suggesting Danis got off lightly despite his history of provocative behavior.

Dillon Danis has been banned from future UFC events. Why? He got into a brawl with Islam Makhachev’s team at UFC 322. But Umar Nurmagomedov, a bantamweight contender, thinks Danis got off easy.

Chaos erupted at Madison Square Garden. Danis and Makhachev’s crew started throwing punches. This isn’t new. Danis has been targeting them for years, especially after Conor McGregor’s feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Remember 2018? Nurmagomedov tapped out McGregor and leapt over the cage. A massive melee ensued. Fast forward to UFC 322, Danis was ejected, but Umar Nurmagomedov believes he had it coming.

“I was in the first row,” Nurmagomedov told Complex. “This guy talks too much. About religion, families, everything. People are gonna smash you.”

Initially, it seemed no one was hurt. Yet, Danis later withdrew from a fight with Misfits. He claimed medical unfitness due to a “severe concussion” from the brawl. Convenient?

There’s more. Danis delayed a deposition in a lawsuit filed by Nina Agdal, Logan Paul’s wife, citing the same injury. But if that’s all he got, Nurmagomedov thinks Danis deserved worse.

“Not enough,” Nurmagomedov said. “He should be in the hospital. Life or death. He deserves it.”

Clearly, the bad blood between Team Nurmagomedov and Danis isn’t cooling off anytime soon.
