Kevin Holland will fight Vicente Luque at UFC 316 on June 7 in Newark, New Jersey, as part of an event headlined by a bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
Kevin Holland’s staying put at welterweight. Yep, you heard that right.
The UFC just dropped some news: Holland’s gonna face Vicente Luque at UFC 316. Mark your calendars for June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Exciting stuff!
Luque’s making his 2025 debut with a bang! He’s fresh off a lightning-fast 52-second submission win over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 last December. Not too shabby after a tough loss to Joaquin Buckley in Atlantic City nine months back. Oh, and remember those two fights with Nick Diaz that never happened? Yeah, Diaz had to pull out both times.
Meanwhile, Holland’s on a roll! He snagged an impressive decision win against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. A triumphant return to the 170-pound division after a couple of rough stoppage losses at middleweight to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
And don’t forget, UFC 316’s headliner is a bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley. It’s gonna be epic!
