Diego Ferreira vs Drew Dober in the Works for UFC Oklahoma

UFC

Ranked lightweight Diego Ferreira may have his next fight lined up for the year. MMA Junkie’s Farah Hannoun reports that Ferreira and Drew Dober have agreed to fight each other at UFC Fight Night 174 on May 2 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Hannoun also reports no contracts have been signed yet.

Ferreira is looking to continue his six-fight win streak that dates back to his win against Oliver Aubin-Mercier by decision at UFC on Fox 18 on January 30, 2016. His latest win was the biggest of his career when he defeated Anthony Pettis by submission at UFC 246 on January 18. Ferreira called out Alexander Hernandez in February to fight, but Hernandez got booked against Islam Makhachev at UFC 249.

Dober is looking to continue his winning streak as well. Dober is on a two-fight win streak, with his last win being against lightweight prospect Nasrat Haqparast by knockout at UFC 246. He is not ranked in the lightweight division, but a win over Ferreira can put him in the rankings.

UFC Fight Night 174 will be headlined with a middleweight matchup between Chris Weidman and Jack Hermansson as the main event. Both Weidman and Hermansson are looking to bounce back from their most recent loss. Also on the card will be a featherweight matchup between Ryan Hall and Ricardo Lamas. Tickets for UFC Fight Night 174 go on sale tomorrow.
