UFC welterweight Mike Perry finds himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons. A video was released yesterday from a Twitter account called MMA Eejit that shows Perry in an altercation at a restaurant called Table 82 in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday at 10:30 pm.

This is pretty disgusting behaviour from a UFC calibre fighter. Acting like a complete child. pic.twitter.com/ZAuxZTtXtW

TMZ reports that it started when Perry was asked to leave the restaurant by a staff member. Instead of leaving, TMZ reports that Perry punched the employee in the eye and that the employee suffered injuries. This led to the start of the video that MMA EEjit posted on Twitter. While unknown at the time, Perry reacted to what had happened on Twitter that night.
In the video, Perry was urged to leave the restaurant by his female peer after punching the employee allegedly off camera. Perry stopped and told her she can leave, he was going to stay since the police were going to be called. Perry and the female got into a back and forth conversation, with Perry saying that the person that he got into an altercation with touched him. The female then retorted that “He was trying to calm you down bro, you were hitting my damn cousin.” Perry stayed adamant that the person in question touched him and then an older man interjected himself into the conversation.
The older man says “He didn’t touch you, I was sitting there watching it.” Perry and the man then started a heated conversation. Perry says “B*tch I’ll knock your old a** out.” The man said “Well do it then mother f*cker” and they got into a scuffle. The man comes forward at Perry and Perry dropped him with a punch. A witness told TMZ that “The victim had smacked his head against the concrete after he was punched.”
When the police arrived, Perry didn’t get arrested. He maintained that he did no wrongdoing and that he was provoked. The man was taken to the hospital and spoke with the cops, suffering from memory problems after the punch from Perry according to TMZ. Perry released a statement on Twitter after the video came out with the caption “No comment.”
The UFC has yet to make a statement on whether they will respond to Perry’s actions. TMZ reports that Table 82 is considering pressing theft charges against Perry because he didn’t pay his bill. Perry has not been charged with any crimes yet.
