UFC fighter Alex Pereira, who has quickly risen to fame by winning titles in two divisions and defending his belt successfully, has showcased his acting skills in a commercial for Topps’ UFC Chrome product.
Well, who knew? Alex Pereira, the man’s a jack of all trades.
He joined the UFC in 2021 and has been on a tear ever since. We’re talking about a guy who’s been fast-tracking a Hall of Fame career, no joke. He snagged the UFC middleweight title in just his fourth fight. Can you believe it?
But wait, there’s more. Pereira then became the quickest fighter to win belts in two divisions. He claimed the light heavyweight title in only his seventh UFC fight. Talk about a meteoric rise, huh?
And just when you thought he couldn’t impress you more, he does. Pereira recently defended his belt by knocking out former champ Jamahal Hill. This happened at UFC 300‘s main event. Oh, and did I mention he also earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt that same night?
But hold on to your hats, folks. There’s another feather in Pereira’s cap: Acting.
You heard it right. Topps, the collectible company that makes UFC cards, released a commercial. And guess who’s the star? You got it, Pereira.
In this ad for the UFC Chrome product, Pereira, aka “Poatan,” interacts with fans at a card shop. He’s trading in his cards, showing off his pre-fight menace. And considering English isn’t his first language, the light heavyweight champ doesn’t do half bad.
