Alex Pereira’s Coach & Pros React to Magomed Ankalaev’s UFC Vegas 84 Knockout

Magomed Ankalaev may get a second chance at the UFC light heavyweight title after defeating Johnny Walker in the main event of UFC Vegas 84, extending his unbeaten streak to 12 fights and catching the attention of former divisional champ and coach of Alex Pereira, Glover Teixeira.

Magomed Ankalaev might be up for a second shot at the UFC light heavyweight title. This comes after he brutally finished Johnny Walker at UFC Vegas 84’s main event.

The light heavyweight rematch was the highlight of the year’s first promotion event. Both fighters started slow in the first round. But then, Ankalaev delivered a knockout in the second round.

Boom!

His unbeaten streak now stands at 12 fights.

After the win, Ankalaev was all, “I want a title shot against Alex Pereira.” His performance caught the eye of Glover Teixeira, a former divisional champ and Pereira’s coach.

Here’s how Teixeira and other UFC pros reacted to Ankalaev’s victory.

Belal Muhammad tweeted, “Hope they don’t bring in the doctor.”

Paulo Costa, or should we say Borrachinha, had this to say, “Bro still acting like cartoon.”

Belal Muhammad again, “That Abu Dhabi doctor is smiling somewhere right now.”

And Paulo Costa, once more, “Ankalaev for title next?”

Well, we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?
